Welcome to the colorful and offbeat world of Miss
Pussycat and her far-out puppets. Join Dusty and Treasure,
two adventure-bound nutrias as they travel from the swampy lagoons of City
Park to the snowy North Pole. Puppets and humans co-exist in this
technicolor landscape where we meet our heroes; Dusty, the toothy TV
addict, and Treasure, the furry fashion plate.
When a telemarketer offers them a vacation package to the
North Pole, Dusty and Treasure head off to a fun-filled weekend, hoping for a
chance encounter with Santa Claus. The North Pole, traditionally
off-limits to tourists, is now built up like a Vegas-style village, providing
free entertainment for our orange-toothed tourists. They even enjoy a
complimentary suite in the famed Ice Cave Hotel. Is this free dream
vacation package too good to be true? Dusty and Treasure discover the real
reason they were called out to Santa’s winter wonderland. A nasty, but
musically inclined, Virus Monster has been destroying all the toys in
Santa’s workshop. Could Dusty and Treasure hold the antidote to destroy the
virus and keep Santa’s annual Christmas Eve trip out of peril?
Entitled NORTH POLE NUTRIAS, this soon-to-be holiday
classic includes live performances by Glitter ‘N Gold and 9th
Ward organist Mr. Quintron with Miss Pussycat. Cameo appearance
by Seafood King, Al Scramuzza as Santa. Featuring the voices of Bunny
Matthews, Sheriff Harry Lee, Chris Rose, Panacea
Theriac, and Rio Hackford.
NORTH POLE NUTRIAS was written by Panacea Theriac
(Miss Pussycat). It was directed by Rick Delaup (director of "Ruthie the
Duck Girl," "The Drum Buddy Show")
