It may be New Orleans, but trust us… there’s not a Saint in the
bunch! – From the video box Debbie Does New Orleans
On September
20, 1999, DEBBIE
DOES NEW ORLEANS (Vivid Video) began production in the Crescent City.
The 2-day shoot covered only exteriors of the city, while all interiors
were shot in a studio in Los Angeles. Director
Paul Thomas, a former porn star, wanted to capture the eccentric side of the
French Quarter. He contacted
EccentricNewOrleans.com for some last minute assistance.
Locals Jack Harris, Star Lady, a Royal Street singing group, Paloma from Lucky Cheng’s, and Deborha from the Tricou House
were used in the film. Locations
included Royal Street, Bourbon Street, the Garden District, the riverfront,
Lafayette
cemetery, Tricou House, and The Dark Entry, although not all the scenes shot
ended up in the film.

are some behind-the-scenes photos
